Link to Edinburgh:

Was arrested and locked in the Castle by his brother.

Interesting fact:

Historians are unkind to James III. They call him lazy and uninterested in being king. Some historians do say that James III was very good with money. He was always able to pay for his armies. How do those historians describe him? Tight-fisted!

James IV

James IV 1488 - 1513

Life:

Last British king to die in battle.

Link to Edinburgh:

Made it Scotland's capital.

Interesting fact:

James was multi-lingual, he spoke 8 languages and was the last Scottish king to speak Gaelic. He loved language so much he did an experiment. He thought one language was natural and wanted to find what the first language was. To do this he sent a new born baby to an island with only a deaf nanny and seabirds to talk to. Unfortunately for James he didn't come back with a Greek, Israeli or Scottish accent, instead he did great seagull impressions!
