Edinburgh For Everyone banner

Here you will find the home of Edinburgh for Everyone, the Edinburgh history book that's not only funny and amusing, but also written in a way that is easy for everyone to understand.

So many history books have one focus:

Edinburgh for Everyone is, as the name suggests, written to combine all these elements. It gives a true account of Edinburgh's history from the very beginning until the modern day, but with jokes and fascinating stories and interesting details, all written in a way that is accessible to people who are learning the language.

About The Author

Euan MacInnes, MacInteresting himself

Euan MacInnes' first book Edinburgh for Everyone combines his love for Edinburgh, the mixture of history and humour that he uses in his other career as a ghost tour guide and "jumper-ooter" for The Cadies & Witchery Tours and all the experience he has gained as an English teacher since 2006, the same year he finished his MA in History from the University of Edinburgh.

Euan has also given lectures to school and university students, appeared on television (BBC National Lottery Jet Set, BBC Eggheads, BBC Antiques Roadshow) and even stood for election to the Scottish Parliament representing Adam Lyal's Witchery Tour Party.
